Dropping Taarabt?

The reason why Tarbs, Hogan, Mackie etc aren't reaching the heights of our first few games is that the opposition has done its homework. They've seen how we play, 4-2-3-1, and know how to stop our attacking threat. These players are still as good after 11 games as they were after 5. Time for NW to work his magic and change the formation.

I can't see dropping a player of his talent...akin to shooting yourself in the foot. On his "poor" days he is good and when he has room to do his magic, he is amazing. It's NW's job to counter the opposition tactics and free up Adel to do his work. I have no worries that NW will do just that. Poor Swansea...

Swanley I do find you a very good poster but you need to be careful because I have caught you contradicting yourself at times.

You use an excuse about other players not being good enough for Taraabt to pass to yet when rowlands were mentioned you said I think he would struggle to get into a much better side? U can't have it both ways. Yes Faurlin is out but surely adel needs to work with what he's got instead of just passing to the opposition. Like I say the best part of his game were his corners for me I want to see much more from someone that has a great 1st touch.

If you re-read my posts, I was implying that Taarabt had a lack of trust in other players being good enough to pass to -- not my opinion.
Rowlands WOULD struggle to get into what is a much better team than when he was last fit for any stretch of time -- that's my opinion.
Taarabt seems to have a limited amount of players who he trusts -- but that's his opinion. He is clearly a better player for AF being on the pitch, and, while he's still young, may need the moral support which AF seems to offer him, but which HE seems to feel the others don't.
Purely my interpretation of his situation at the moment.
Sorry if trying to see it how he sees it somehow makes it sound like it's my opinion too. I didn't contradict myself at all.

The 25% will go up on the back of the Brizzle performance, thats a given.

Reality is, you can see the frustations on Mackie and Hogan faces, but they have to realise
(a) Tarrabt normally makes the chances in the first place
(b) They are not guranteed to score either.

Agree with both your points lads.

I think he offers so so so so much to the team when he does the SIMPLE things (which he excels at) but he just doesn't do it now, he wants to take on 5 players & do 25 step overs why?? Everytime he got the ball tonight I though oh no.. & that's not good because usually I want him to have it.

That shot stat is LOL It's him taking shots from anywhere and missing them badly or they go into the arms of the keeper!

The team look more steady and confident when Adel goes off.
