  • Rob Hulse

How far is he away from being fully fit? With HH nursing a groin tear its a worry if we lose him and Hulse isn't ready to come in, especially with 3 games in less than a week.

Think I saw end of October/early November somewhere.....this seems to confirm that, but not sure how 'itk' this poster is.....

    1) Peter Ramage - Anterior Cruciate Ligament - Has torn his other knee (different knee from the one he did at Newcastle) - 6-8 Months - He did it in September, possibility he may be back before the end of the season.

    2) Lee Cook - Anterior Cruciate Ligament - Has been working on building up his knee strength and muscles. Still a little bit of work to do but now involving running and ball work. Then a weeks fitness work, then a weeks training. Maybe end of October?

    3) Rob Hulse - Achillies Tendon - Found it was his tendon and they have taken time with him. Maybe end of October?

    4) Leon Clarke - Old Injury aggravated, but will join training on Monday and is now avaliable.

    5) Fitz Hall - Hamstring - Aggravated old scar tissue - join training on Monday and is now avaliable.

    6) Bradley Orr - Hamstring - Joins in training on Monday and is now avaliable.

    7) Alejandro Faurlin - Hamstring - Joins in training on Monday and is now avaliable.

So, yes, a little worrying if HH breaks down, but at least we've got Clarke back......(sorry !)

This report was an accurate assessment from the injury update posted on Player a week or so ago.

Heidar played the full 90 minutes against Portugal last night, so I doubt he is injured...

NW said he has had it for a number of weeks and has been playing through the pain barrier.

Personally I didn't think it was possible to play with a groin strain, but apparently it is, and he has been.

Fingers crossed he hasn't aggravated it beyond the point of being able to play.

"Neil Warnock was keen to praise Helguson following the striker’s last gasp winner at Selhurst Park. The 33 year old Icelandic international has been playing against all medical logic in recent weeks with a worsening tear in his groin but stayed fit and sharp to bag an injury time winner against the beleaguered Eagles at the weekend."

At least we can take Mulder and Scully off the case of The Mysterious Disappearance of Leon Clarke.

Never realised he was injured, thought he was dropped.

There's a difference between a strain and a tear according to the medical world - you and I would probably think it's one and the same thing but no, apparently not.
