yesterday was a great day.. purely because we all thought we had dropped two points then nicked it at the end! support first half wasnt as good as it could of been for us.. but when we got the goal til final whistle we was in full proper voice.. ive seen various threads on the support of palace and i felt aside the jumping idiots they wasnt anything til they scored..
as for the game itself it was a toughie i really liked that djihali (spelling) he looks a good one for the future.. as for us.. we miss faurlins ability to control a game. buzsaky is a good player but in this system he is not suited adel is always in his space and like gerrard n lampard they cant play together and get the best of both. I feel after 10 games we have played some great football but recently we've not played so great and got the result. a sign of champions? hope so. before i do player ratings id like to see tommy smith get a chance.. came on and done well and delivered a great cross for HH.

kenny - 8 - quality keeper.. one shady moment but he has been solid for us and really has got us points especially yesterday. his saves changed the game.
walker - 7 - good performance had his hands tied with djihali but really matched him. would LOVE to sign him.. going to be hard for orr to get back in.
gorkks - 10 - MOTM - and by a mile.. never lost a header.. really top notch performance.. quality today.
connolly - 7 - solid, tidy, read the game well.
hill - 7 - really impressed with hill especially since his arrival.. you get 110% with him rain or shine.. and i know he hasnt got any pace but i like committed players like him..
derry - 6 - like hill committed up for the battle but didnt really have the best of games odd stray pass.
buzsaky - 7 - played well does a good cover for faurlin but doesnt impose himself on the game. like smith eventually id like to see him in behind the striker.
ephraim - 7 - when on the ball he has great control but sometimes drifts in and out of the game.
taarabt - 7 - wanted the ball, didnt really find the space he needed game sort of passed him by but he was effective and when davids went off that was it for adel looked leggy.
mackie - 9 - didnt see this performance on tuesday but he was sensational today.. made things happened and was going at palace and was awesome today. palace was more concerned with taarabt and that gave mackie space.
helguson - 8 - his ability to win a header is something else and won us the game. going to be difficult to get hulse in starting xi with him playing like this.
subs:
leigertwood - 5 - came on didnt do much but i dont feel that comfortable having him come on for buz.. him n derry just scares me. sooner rowlands is back better.
smith - 7 - came on and ran for everything.. he has something to offer us just wish warnock would give him a proper run. would have had him and mackie on the wings today. palace backline wouldnt be able to handle both of them. feel like ephraim is better on the ball and in the whole.. he isnt a wide player.
overall id like us to change our gameplan and tactics.. felt us doing the long ball just doesnt work for us.. if we put it on the deck we will ruin any team in this division. int break has come at a perfect time.. and yesterday was a great day !
