Im not getting the point. In my mind any trivialisation of football violence is an acceptance and partial condoning it.

Yep its true I havnt got a sense of humour when it comes to football violence. I saw it kill off the game in the 70s/80s and any time it rears its ugly head it reminds me of back then. It you trivialise it then you in part condone it.
