Never asked for a Sousa thread to be moved, in my opinion any ex player/ manager should be discussed in this forum. It's you and your heavy handed moderating team that have moved the thread when the cards don't suit. No coincidence that you feel when your proving a point that the thread stays here

back on topic..
Feelings aside for a mo, Sousa is a very unlucky chap, and proves how fortunate you need to be to manage football team.
And I know he has history with us, but again I feel that in our match he was mainly having a pop at the officials much more than us, plus a small dose of sour grapes maybe.
Anyway, I do my own statistics for 'investment' purposes, and it always struck me that there were a couple of teams that didn't deserve to be in their current positions due to losing games that they had dominated with possession and goal attempts, which are Leicester and Portsmouth. Portsmouth seem to have turned the corner, but Leicester have perhaps now lost confidence hence the sacking.
I've analysed it further to prove the point,
QPR, pld 9, W7, D2, L0, Gf22 Ga2, +20, Pts 23, = TOP
Leics pld 9, W1, D2, L7 Gf10 Ga22, -12, Pts 5 = BOTTOM
But the game stats tell a different story according to Match day analysis here http://www.sportinglife.com/football...nship/results/
Add up all the shots on and off target, for and against, and you get a picture of the how lucky or unlucky a team was, to a certain extent, obviously its not the whole picture of the game, but does give a guide to form and performance.
So, in the 9 games
QPR. Goal attempts for 117, scored 22, so effectively 1 in every 5.3 attempts we score.
Goal attempts against 86, conceded 2, so only 1 in every 43 is getting past PK !!
Leics. Goal attempts 131, scored 10, so only 1 in every 13 attempts, a low percentage.
Goal attempts against 98, conceded 22, so 1 in every 4.5 shots is going in.
I know the stats aren't the full picture, but it proves that Sousa has been unlucky with a leaky defence and poss dodgy keeper, and strikers who defy the name. With a change of fortune, we could be on equal points, the figures prove it.Comment

Not unlucky at all to be honest. He plays football on the ground with intricate passing, but no final product. He for example has Steve Howard at his disposal, but left him on the bench and at Swansea he loaned out a striker that ultimately allowed Blackpool to get promoted, those are the facts.
He was such a great player, the problem is being a perfectionist, he expects every player to have the same ability as him, he seems to forget this is only the championship and players don't have his quality and it just comes across as arrogance when he trains and tells players what to do.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

I accept some may think he wasn't unlucky, I just wanted to highlight the fact that his team were creating chances, and a lot more chances than what were being created against, but they clearly had a poor finishing percentage and leaked much more than they should have. The figures show an overall chances for/against percentage very similar to ours.
The area we don't know about is player confidence in the manager, are the players glad he has gone or upset?Comment

Think Sousa should take his style of football to Italy.Think he would do better there.Or maybe France.
Not gonna do anything in England playing like he does. Our Championship and lower league players don't have the technical ability/training.Comment

Great post pete. Hard to wonder why people thought you had a campaign to out SousaComment

Never claim to be ITK mate but I know some people involved with LCFC from the England trips and they were spot on so far though to be honest any manager in all the leagues would have been under pressure with Sousa`s recent results unless Steve Gibson was the Chairman
Latest I have heard is that it is Sven going there and not O`Neil but you could have read that in this mornings paperComment
