Qpr and millwall face FA fines

In that case maybe the FA should stop Millwall fans travelling or make it a Sunday lunchtime kick off !!

Hubby said he heard on the radio today that there's a possibility that the return fixture may be rescheduled for a Saturday with an early kick-off -- perhaps on an FA Cup day if both clubs are knocked out early?
Don't know how true, but it would sort of make sense.

QPR did fail to control the fans by letting millwall out at the same time to save money. I hope they get a big fine so they think twice about letting swansea, cardiff, millwall etc out in the future.

If it's true that the decision was that of QPR then I can't agree more Paul, a big fine might have the desired effect!

I think QPR and the league are to blame. QPR for not holding in the away fans and the league for letting Millwall fans travel in the first place. Looking at Millwall's history they should not be allowed to travel to any away game. Same old same old every season with Millwall.

Evening kick off was allways asking for trouble.All day drinking for a start.

Can see the away game being rescheduled for a saturday/sunday lunchtime.

Never understood why high risk games are played in the evening.

I always thought it was the officer in command of the game that decided whether fans be kept in or not

and all the other games started at 7.45 and us at 8 to give them 15 minutes more beer time.

With hindsight the scheduling was a bit silly - especially with CFC playing. S'pose it ought to have been a noon kick-off on a Sat/Sun with maybe Wall restricted to 750 seats?

Saturday lunchtime with Wall having the lower tier only would be my choice.

With the upper tier either shut or given to schools as freebies.

It staes in the article that there was fighting in pubs before the match as well as afterwards. Fighting in pubs before the game is nothing to do with QPR.

Afterwards, it depends on who gave the order to let Millwall fans out after the match. They should have been kept in for 20-30 minutes. I recall this happening to e and other QPR fans years ago at West Ham, so why not now with Millwall fans?

Who scheduled the game for midweek on the same as CL matches when there was a good good chance of a Chelsea home game at the same time?

Perhaps QPR should have a rethink in future about letting in Millwall fans. QPR could have made this game all ticket and only sell tickets to ST holders and members. My feeling is that QPR would have sold more than 15500 tickets to QPR fans alone, had they done this.

There must have been many fans who chose to avoid this game because if the anticiapted crowd trouble. I recall similar issues in the old 1st division in the 80s and even a few years ago when Millwall were last in this division.
