  • Jamie Mackie - What a Trooper!

As well as all the knocks he took tonight, that Kung fu kick he received in the first half was sickening and he carried on with the game :yush: , so strong on the ball this guy is QPR!

how the guy wasn't sent off for fouling Mackie is madness. The ref didn't even give a free kick.

From where I was sitting looked like a stonewalled penalty

Nice to see Rowlands having a chat with Mackie after the incident while he was warming up by the Paddocks culd of done with a real captain out there, no disrespect to Tarbs but he should not be captain

Tarbs is only captain for his ego. Derry is the real captain on the pitch.

Am i one of the only people who believe Adel should be dropped next game? He just needs to calm it a bit and get our captain back out there. Adel deserves a rest anyway

doesnt wash with me, the ref wanted to talk to the captain due to fouls being made and he sheepishly slunch over.

I'd prefer a young captain like Connolly while Rowlands is not on the pitch, he is the one who should be getting experience at it

nah, you cant drop taraabt, he didnt have no chance tonight, and if anyone was going to open them up it was still going to be him.
i knew they were going to play like that tonight and spoil the whole game, the team played exactly like the fans. they came for a 0-0 and got it, but with a goalscoring cnetre forward ai still think we would of nicked it and squeezed one goal through the bus.

I totally concur. He's starting to get back to his old habits of (unsuccessfully)show-boating when a simple pass would pay more dividends in promising build up play.We were on the offensive a number of times last night, when Taarabt held up play with his fancy-dan tactics, allowing the opposition to regroup, defend and reposess.I for one would not be too upset if he was left off the team sheet occasionally to get the message across. As for making him captain, its a bit of a joke and a snub to more deserving players like Derry,Gorkss and Connolly.

Gee I agree and I think you are spot on.

Some of his play was dreadful and I also found that after 40 step overs and going nowhere, it gave the opposition time and a chance to get 10 players behind the ball.

The one thing that annoys me is we had a free kick. 18 yards out but outwide. It was a great opportunity to whip in the ball but instead he had a shot which he ended up scuffing and they cleared it. His shooting really is pi ss poor. Forget this nonsense that we expect to much from him. I don't infact I wouldn't mind him getting the simple things right. At the moment he is a luxury that we can't afford to have. I think Buzz deserves a chance in his natural position. I would drop any player that isn't showing any kind of form. I would also be tempted to give smith a chance as hogan has also gone quiet.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

There is another thread on a similar topic which I just posted similar thoughts on. I agree that Adel has had a few poor games on the trot now and we should look to do something about it. He was responsible for us losing possession and missing out on clearest of chances last night. IMO Buz should start at the centre of mid and Adel come off the bench to mix things if needed. Easier to make these changes when Faurlin is fit again but no need to wait for this one change. When Hulse is fit I would imagine Buz is better in the hole behind him than Buz anyway

I meant, of course, better than Adel!

I agree on each and every point WAQ12,and I'd also ask why Warnock leaves it so late in a match like last night ,to freshen up the attack with substitutions in the 89th minute.Agyemang's a big old lump, but he gave Millwall something to worry about when he came on late.

I have to agree with most of the above comments, I'd like to see Smith replace Hogan and Buzz replace Tarbs with Rowlands in for Faurlin if still unfit
