I mean we have to be prepared for the eventuality, we sell him, get two more strikers, there is already chatter that he is going to play for scotland, obviously I hope he remains a ranger, but clubs like spurs and west ham are going to throw money at him, for sure.Originally posted by paulmason View Postthis thread is about Mackie being better than Stanley, IMO he is not but answering what you have said, when we get promoted, why would we have to sell him and if we did sell him, how much would you have to spend to replace him ?

yeah we can keep him for four years but hes too good for us to keep forever he will go like les ferdinand, his ambitions will evolve and he will want to play for a bigger club, its just natural, but he will sell for a record figure strikers like him and les come along once in a blue moon

well I think sir Les played for nine years, now , the players are leaving after 2 or three years, it's not like it used to be, the revolving door moves faster nowadays.Originally posted by qprted View Postyeah we can keep him for four years but hes too good for us to keep forever he will go like les ferdinand, his ambitions will evolve and he will want to play for a bigger club, its just natural, but he will sell for a record figure strikers like him and les come along once in a blue moon
