What season did a team start better than this/us?

So, it's our best start in over 60 years, but when did a team at this level have a better start than us?

I suppose you need to define what a "start" is and right now it's 7 games, when is a start no longer a start?

After 1/4 of the season. i.e. 11 games in.

If that's official and seeing as we're close to the 11 game mark - it would be interesting to know what that record is/when it was done. I'm guessing a team has won 11 back-to-back in the past.

We matched this start in 1987, bloody Oxford ended a run of seven wins and a draw

I'm pretty sure they said best start for 63 years, and then 23 years later on...... I thought it was 1987 which would be 23 years, we started with a 3-0 at Upton Park
