We were playing in Europe and had a 1st round away tie in Greece.
The fans had a charter plane - which crashed on the approach to Gatwick. Miraculously everyone survived. The plane company offered everyone on board £45 a week for life as compensation.
Now it gets weird.
QPR offered to add a further £20 a week to 20 of these supporters - but they had to win a competition.
All the fans in the plane crash had to report to Loftus Road on a given day for the mystery competition.
We were led out of the tunnel to find a load of Austin Allegro doors that the club had salvaged from various west London scrapyards. We were led to our very own Allegro door and we were individually timed with a stopwatch to see how quckly we could wind the windows down. The 20 fastest would receive the extra £20 a week for life from the club.
A couple of fans who lost limbs in the crash were moaning like fook that it wasn't fair and Sparky started beating them up for being so ungrateful.
Then I woke up.
I dunno what I drunk last night but I'll try and avoid it in future!
