Hall needs to play southampton.

We have looked dodgy at the back and I don't always agree with sticking with the same team. We played poor against derby and I think we lack pace at the back. Whether you like hall as a bloke he must play and he is a good leader. He has played very well and connors hasn't done enough to take his place. Oh and I am a connors fan but he has had a chance to stake a claim.

I wouldn't be so sure. He's one of those players he's tried to get hold of for a while, and fought hard to do so.

I tend to agree with Bennyboy. I don't personally agree with Smith getting dropped straight in (effectively amongst virtual strangers) for such an important game, and actually I don't think Hogan deserves to be treated like that either (never thought I'd say that!) as he merits a place on form. But the way I read Warnock's overly melancholic comments about his "striker crisis" I can't help but wonder if that is all a smokescreen to ease Smith into the team pretty much straightaway..
