Agreed. There are so many clubs (like us) who are just one or two players away from really competing so if they sign that player that gives them the difference then we may have more teams to challenge then we already do. Take our side for instance and how different it is without Taraabt. If Burnley, Cardiff, Ipswich whoever sign a player who can make the difference like Adel has for us then we could have a real fight just to make the top 6 let alone the top 2.

And to answer your original question yes it is open from today.

All seems to have gone quiet on Jason Roberts. If he has been given a squad number does that indicate he is in Blackburn's plans? If Helguson and Hulse are crocked it doesn't leave us much in reserve. Whatever you think about Clarke/ Agyman etc I think we can all agree they should not be leading the line of a club with promotion aspirations.

If we were to get any player I would like a CB to help out Fitz, Rambo, Kaspars, & Conners.

Doubt many players would be signed until late on Friday at least, as clubs want to have these players for longer because they can only sign for up to 3 months I believe.

i would like another CF, somebody like roberts. but we'd need to shift vine and agyemang first

a cb would be great too.

I said "if" they are crocked because people on here are saying they are - have no more idea than you whether they actually are or not, although some poster did suggest that Hulse was himself quoted as saying he was out for three weeks. Like the rest of you I hope very much this is wrong.

Just seen on Ceefax that Holloway missed out on a deadline day deal for David Nugent because the player didn't answer his phone.Any good for us on loan if the Smith deal faulters?

Danny Ward from Bolton is one who is touted as being a very good prospect. He's 18.....

Probably not to QPR, he'll need starts.
                          But he's a possibility.

I;d say no to Ward simply on basis he is too raw for the project (promotion) I hope we are embarked on here. I say that only on basis of the write up blurb which suggests the experience he seems to have is minimal. I don't know anymore about him tbh. Thought same about Luke Moore, but that's a closer calla s he's put a tour in with WBA. I like Nugent , though appreciate not everyone does. But difficult to see where he fits in the Ranger's set up. Not the out and out goal scorer we need. Personally gutted the Kitson part of the pompey deal seems to have got under the FA wire.
