    6 months under the Mittals!

Just over 6 months now since Amit stepped up and the mittal family increased their share holding, it isn't clear how much they do own, but I feel that in this period we have moved forward.

Within a couple of weeks they brought in Warnock, who has been backed in the transfer market, a massive step forward letting the gaffer pick the team.
It appears that there is a good working relationship from owners tobthe management team and from the end of February to now stability has also turned into results.

The calibre of player we have signed or tried to sign has been of good standard and with a good feeling amongst fans it could be our best season in a long time.

So stage 1 most of us would have accepted, in summary

    1) proven manager picking the team and buying players
    2) mittals with majority share
    3) the sinking feeling we had in jan/feb seems a distant memory
    4) fresh proven players at this level
    5) a healthy league position and strong belief from the squad with strength in depth

So if that is stage 1,

what do we want to see in the next 6 months onwards?

Rid of bernie and flavio? Progression with the academy, maintaining good league form? 2 or 3 strong additions in January and an increase in crowd attendances!

    So stage 2

Coventry away last season was a low point, not seen since days of admin there was a depression on and off the pitch we have come a long way since then but we all have our feet on the ground and understand it's working progress

The best thing they did apart from bringing in Warnock was to move Paladini away from anywhere he could do any real damage.

                STAGE 2

                1. Continue the steady progression towards the club being run in a proffessional way.
                2. Build better links with fans.
                3. Departure of Flab and Bern (they can focus on their chip shop in Knightsbridge).
                4. Kingfisher inbound.
                5. The public flogging and banishing of Paladini and Comical Ali.

                Nice.
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

                    1. Bye bye Flavio
                    2. Bye bye Bernie
                    3. Bye bye Gianni
                    4. Stock up on Chicken Balti Pies. When they run out at half-time I get depressed.

                          Agree really.

                          1) Get rid Of Paladini, This will stop Aggyemang, Vine's, Pellicori's, etc happening again, and bleeding the club dry.
                          2) Make sure the loan is repaid by said man.
                          3) Improve club communication
                          4) Have a long term season ticket pricing strategy, maybe incentivise people to renew early, especially if it looks like we could go up.
5)Continue to back Warnock and buy the neccesary players.

we have to happy with the progress - it is steady, not absurd spending, yet definately ticking the boxes.

I would like to see next steps:

                            1. bring in more partners - I would like kingfisher beer and tikka rolls delivered by Miss India and friends at half time.
                            2. Start to develop a real plan for the next 5-10 years - what do we really want to do with the club
                            3. Promotion. This is essential. The parachute payments alone make a sensible, but significant, investment a no-brainer.
                            4. A debate with the fans about ground. I don;t want to move from LR even if we go up unless there is a real debate, pro's and cons and fans representatives involved.
                            5. Stick with the manager and make sure he has the staff he wants even if results fade a bit
                            6. Bring the crowds back - we need a good strategy. Ground should be full most games. If we have a small club coming to LR - give them hardly any tickets.
                            7. Move the away fans from School end. QPR fans behind both goals.
                            8. Move the family section. Preferably to another stadium (joke parents!)
                            9. tonnes more....just a 5 minute brain dump in between work stuff!

Although Gianni has made some costly mistakes he was still a big part in bringing in the money men. Also I think he does try and do his very best for the club, but what he thinks and what the club needs are 2 totally different things. I would offer him a small retirement package at the end of the season and wish him the best.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
