Your Ideal Starting 11 Now Then??

What I like is the fact that our bench is now looking so strong. I know they don't win games but it shows (at last) that we have some real strength in depth for when we get injuries and suspensions.

Say Hulse comes in for HH and Smith for Hogan our bench would look something like this;

Cerny
Ramage
Rowlands
Ephraim
Helguson
Hall
Buszacy

This means we still have the following waiting in the wings

Clarke
German
Parker
Leigertwood

Brown
Oastler
Rose

Finally that is a really hard question to answer... I think it is vital to keep a settled back four as long as they're doing quite well, other than that, I think we should keep Derry and Faurlin as that lynchpin away from home, and at home you could swap Derry for Buzz there comfortably. As for the rest, you can switch them around as needs be. My best starting 11, regardless of recent form etc, with everyone fit, would be:

Orr - Connolly - Gorkss - Hill
Faurlin - Derry
Buzsaky - Adel - Mackie

Interestingly Pete your post has highlighted that the 2 signings aren't much if any better than we've got. At the moment its a straight toss up with Helgusson or Hulse, harsh to drop Heidar (although he's not great) and would you drop Ephraim for Smith? Again another toss up. Smith probably just the better player.

So the point I'm making is neither player is a certain starter which highlights the limits of both signings.

If Tarrabt gets injured we're screwed.
