    A Few Points

    1) Agyemang's goal was very good. Under pressure and from a tight angle. Well done Pat, and thank you.

    2) A lot of confidence will be gained from this sort of result, not to mention camaraderie.

    3) Luke Varney scored for Blackpool. In the premiership. Against Fulham.

Can the 'experts' please refrain from dissing players before they have actually seen them play in our team, under our manager, in our system.

If Varney was linked with us, maybe Warnock saw something in him that we don't. Maybe he has the perfect attributes for the role Warnock had in mind.

Great result. Not pretty, but showing we can play long ball and physical if we have to.

    Bet Derby are gutted!

Another point - lets not paper over cracks, today showed why we need a top striker by next Tuesday.

          Totally agree minty.

Whoever warnock signs to play in the famous hoops should get our full support.

Unfortunately some people are so short sighted that they cant see what potential certain players have, what job they could for the team and what warnock will squeeze out of them.

Leon Best for instance gets slated, yet im sure warnock would get him playing for us.

Exactly, the same "experts" were moaning about Mackie, Hill & Derry all summer too

Most people who moan before a player has even arrived have probably only seen the player once, twice, maybe never, and live their lives on the internet. Every signing deserves a fair chance and our support.

A striker to put away what, today?

The 4 chances that we put away anyway?

But my point is really that as lowly fans who like to think we know football, we mainly judge strikers by the one statistic - goals scored, whereas an old football dog like Neil Warnock will see more than that. He will have a much more precise and thought out idea of exactly what he is looking for in our system, and would expect to achieve better productivity from that player in the role he has in mind.

So, obviously agree that we are in desperate need of forward players, but let's trust the gaffer as to who he brings in. Until proven otherwise.

Having said that, Varney may not score another goal in 20 appearances, but we have to trust the gaffer as he knows much more than we do.
