I hope you are right Kingo. But if it is just a loan I'd be surprised as don't see that there is much in it for Blackburn to loan out a 32 year old. If he isn't good enough for them now, he isn't going to be good enough in six months time.Comment

Quite simply it gets some of his salary off the books and a loan fee for them.
We won't pay £1m plus £30k pw nor will anyone else it seems but £15k pw plus a loan fee of say £500k means a year deal will have cost us £1.25m rather than £2.5m and will save Blackburn £750k in salary and earn themselves £500k for a loan fee.Comment

So Benjani has officially signed for t'Rovers.
Bit of movement by all 3 parties and big Jase will be wearing the hoops pretty soon me thinks.
All good with that but it does make you wonder:
We were in the running to spend over £2mill alledgedly on "a" striker (Walters)
So if that's the budget plus say 10 bags of sand a week surely you chuck all that in the pot and our realistic targets must make up a fair list?!
We could even of signed Benjani ourselves?!?!?!
Answer - the gaffer is building a SQUAD and working to a BUDGET.
Those two words have been sadly lacking in our dealing of recent years when the waiter was left to do the food order.
Hats off to Warnock if this is the case -- no anomosity due to the fella on the peg next to you earning 3 times what you do, play for me if you want to play for me and a bit of sensabilty in the camp.
I await signing news with interest.
