would you seriously like us to do what we usually do and sign roberts on 20 grand a week for four years and him turn up and be a donkey cos hes past it now and then have him sit at home playing xbox with viney and ageymang for the next four years milking our club dry?
another point is, if we laon him they pay a chunk of his wages jsut to offload him, if we sign him we have to pay him 30 grand a week for 3 or 4 years.
suicidal for a player that blackburn want to get rid of but they have no strikers and are taking benjani on a free just to make up the numbers.

Now it looks as if we are getting both of these guys, probably on loan.

What I can't work out is that Warnock and all the fans have been saying for months we need a big powerful striker upfront. Ok, Helgusson is doing ok at the moment, but we can do so much better. West Brom had Bednar and Newcastle had Carroll. These guys lead the line.

Roberts and Varney are strikers who play off a big man.

It's worrying that this issue is not being addressed and apart from Kitson who is not coming our way and Kamara who is currently injured we are not being linked with any striker of this calibre.
