It was mate...make no mistake. Adel sold him, the defender flicked his foot forward and got nowhere near the ball.

    100% penalty.

Problem is, I think the Ref spoke to Adel twice about diving & rolling around before the Penalty incident.
Once around another penalty shout and again when he won a free kick near the touchline. Obviously I'm not privvy to what he said, but on the free kick, he seemed to be saying.....
"You got the free kick, there's no need to keep rolling around and making a meal if it". ie. You play, I'll ref.

So I guess it was 3rdtime unlucky, although how a Ref can give a penalty then change his mind on the bisis of someone 40 yards away ? I don't know.

But NW should try to address this with Adel. He's too easy to fall down and will get a reputation with Ref's and other Teams very soon.
Then Ref's will start looking for a dive, instead of looking for a penalty.

His feet are quick enough and he's skilful enough to not have to dive or fall unecessarily. Ref's generally get it right and he will naturally get plenty of pen throughout the season without cheating.

Other than that, he's a genius and now he's ours. If he keeps this form up, he'll be worth £10m by the end of the season.

I was in block X -- right in front of me. Not a dive -- he was pushed by one and tripped by the other, as he struggled to stay on his feet.
In those circumstances, whether or not one of the defenders got the ball becomes immaterial.

If the lino thought it wasn't a penalty why was he standing on the goal line ready for the pen to be taken?
