Bid was accepted lads, so it wasn't just for a wind up. Believe it or not.

All of this is total gossip, hearsay and rumour at this point in time. Hence it doesn't prove anything, one way or another. All I was saying is this episode can't be used to claim it proves are prepared to spend big since it shows we spent....nothing. I will pause to add that if we were gazumped out of a deal with a pre-signed player then Rangers need to sort their act out. With the Ambrose saga that'd be twice that's happened to us in this window alone (and I have not heard of it happening to anyone else at all!)

Back to the rumour mill... I was only musing when I mentioned it earlier but the more I think about it the more I wonder if a Kitson loan might really be a factor in this. It'd make sense - Stoke are said to be in for Rodallega and the Kenwye injury is now reportedly minor so Kitson is moving down the pecking order. Ipswich are in the market for a striker. Snap. Just idle speculation on my part. I am not trawling Stoke boards but I haven't yet to see anything official from anyone about anything.

                  Thanks for confirming mate.

Let's hope we get other targets.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Walters says he's playing for Stoke..

Are we all definitely sure that he was Warnock's number one target?

Presumably Stoke put in their offer at the last minute then? Surely he wouldn't have even talked to us if the bid was already on the table.
