GORDON STRACHAN wants to make Ipswich skipper Jon Walters his next signing at Middlesbrough.



Armed with the £2.5m he has received from Liverpool for keeper Brad Jones, the Boro boss is ready to go up against Stoke for the midfielder.


Walters has been told he will never kick another ball for Ipswich following a bust-up with Roy Keane.



He would prefer a Premier League move, but Walters, 26, will be impressed with Boro’s ambition.



Strachan has brought in six players, including ex-Rangers hitman Kris Boyd and former Celtic captain Stephen McManus.



With Willo Flood and Kevin Thompson out injured, he plans to strengthen the squad.

same old rangers,done deal,well maybe,but deff wants to come,but prem is a draw,on the bus though,had a medical,stays where he is,goes to another,never going to happen,wasnt real target.
