I agree with DanMcGeoghan , I have a similar situation in my current company, I am part owner of a company, the largest shareholder is a multi- millionaire, he has given me a sum of money to get the business up and running which I have now done.
If he put a bit more money in I would be able to drive the business onto the next stage in half the time, but he has refused to put anymore money in and insist that we survive purely on income generated by our endeavors.Kept the faith!Comment

I agree.
one reason why QPR don't fill LR each game is becuase of the lack of quality. The same reason could apply for a lack of a cup run. A few international call ups, a few injuries and QPR had to play the reserves and got humilated by a
L2 side ...at home.
If QPR had better players, they could top the league (not just after the 1st game) and perhaps get bigger crowds as long as they maintain that form.
As long as people have the 'we are a small poor club ' mentality, then that's what the club will always be.
10 seasons ago Chelsea never looked like being Premier League winners and didn't play in front of 40000+ crowds each home game, but they do now that RA splashed his cash around - and LM has 3x his money. He can do similar things (but on a smaller scale) for QPR to at least get the club up to the PL.
Splash the cash and buy Roberts & Chopra and QPR could realistically be a PL side next season.Comment

Look at clubs under financial pressure recently:
Portsmouth
Palace
Watford
Cardiff
PNE
Hull
Norwich
It is hard to make money in this league, easy to lose money. If the squad isn't strengthened then it is mid-table for us. It is the owners money that keeps us afloat, certainly not gate money.
Expectations need to be better managed by the club (Champions' League in 4 years?) One man's icing is another man's margerine.
I'm expecting lard.Comment

Sure some fans would prefer us to go down the route of some of the above, just by taking a few financial risks......................Look at clubs under financial pressure recently:

Ridiculous, let's spend the money which the club hasn't got. He pulls the money out or loses interest and we are in a mess. They are running the club how it should be run, as a business not a hobby
His money is not necassarly our moneyComment

I once saw that for Bill Gates to make it worth his while to bend down and pick up money he found in the street it would have to be 25 Quid or more. For us to buy a Mars bar is the equivalent of him buying a Ferrari!
Mittal has that sort of money.Comment

not got a problem with the club being prudent, what irks me is all the outright lies saksena & warnock came out with a few months ago saying its gonna be an exciting transfer window, where the truth is only the signing of taarabt has pleased me.
if the board reduced ticket prices & made as statement that they are not prepared to invest heavily in the playin staff to balance costs then wouldnt have a problem.Comment

Abramovich-spent for fun
Al Fayed-spent & have been successful for years now when they used to get 7,000 crowds.
Dave Whealan-spent & still in the prem buying & selling players for vast sums.
Reading-granted they are not in the prem but another chairman who's not afraid to spend a few bob. I remember going to Elm Park it was a small kazi with about 6,000 gates.
At the end of the day Mittal has 20,000 MILLION yes 20,000 MILLION in the bank whether its the clubs or not come on!!!!!
All talk no action & losing patience & faith with these guys.Comment
