reading between the lines its looking like us.
him and tommy smith would change our whole complexion.
would so love to get them both in for saturdays tricky match.

Roberts has played in every league in England and is not ruling out playing outside the Premier League in order to find new employers.

    Open-minded
A return to London is something that appeals to the striker, although Roberts is also not ruling out the possibility of playing abroad.

"I've got an open mind. The key for me is that I want to play," he continued.

"I feel like I've got a couple of challenges left in me. I've played in all the leagues so I don't have a problem in trying some different.

"I've been at the club a long time. We'll wait and see what happens. If I stay then of course I'll work to get into the team.

"I'm open-minded. I've always taken on big challenges in my career."

Smith is going to Glasgow Rangers not us but reading that makes me think that Roberts could come to us. With Kenwyne Jones about to sign for Stoke where does this leave Kitson and Beattie?

According to Sky Sports it's Rangers. If you google Tommy Smith to Rangers most of the internet articles say Rangers as well. I think someone has heard Rangers and assumed it's us.

Roberts would be perfect for us.

Local lad, strong, good finisher, know-how.... spot on.

My ideal front 2 signings would be him, and Moses (loan).

We think alike Goddard my son.
When i had a look at WATRB this morning and saw all the Tommy Smith threads i was kind of downbeat about it all. We need hungry strikers not more midfield/winger type players. I actulaly think last nights result could be a blessing in disguise because at least now it HAS to of hit home just how s hite we are up front. Roberts is the man. Please god we will sign him up

I agree with last night being a blessing in disguise.

If we get roberts, would be good to get a good winger to supply good crosses.
                    They seek him here.................
