tommy smith is a good player but hes only had one good season watford 2 seasons ago plus hes more of a midfielder anyway.
I dont understand QPR why cant they just go out and get matty fryatt who is availiable for the same price or jason roberts or both (i can dream ).

We most def need a class central defender, with speed as well.

A fast winger who can get around the back of defences ie Routlidge type.

            Two good srikers........young if poss

Another younger combative midfielder, once again young if poss.

Bringing in more 30+ year olds is not building for the future.
            They seek him here.................

Totally understand your thought process behind this comment. We would all prefer a team of young guns, but not sure the modern game allows for it.

Success is demanded instantly by Chairmen and fans alike. Results and promotion are required NOW! Thus preventing managers to build for the future. I think getting promoted is paramount, then rebuild after promotion.

Not saying this is right.... just think managers nowadays buy and select players to get a job done now rather than build or invest for the future.

A real, good, hungry, younger understudy would be great imho.

As for Tommy Smith..... yeah he's better than we got but would still fell underwhelmed with his signing. Surely there are better options out there?
