A post to the elderly people on here.

Before they were brought in to secure our place in the old Div 1 Maaannyyy years ago Had you heard of Darren Pea****, Rufus Brevett, ?Tillson and Andy Sinton before we bought them to the club.

I just wonder.

Sinton, yes because I'd seen him play on numerous occassions for Brentford.

Pea**** yes - highly thought of and was being scouted by a number of teams very heavily. Tillson and Brevett, no.

Sinton was being touted about for a while but the others came out of the blue, I think Bobby Gould scouted them for us, although Brevett played against us in an FA Cup game for Doncaster before we bought him, we lost 1-0 !!!!!! Happy Days

I remember Rufus when he was at Donny (had family up there and went to the odd game). Also recall seeing Sinton at Brentford some time before he signed fro us, but can't for the life of me remember wht I was watching them! )

Those were the days. I think One of the first matches Sinton@co played for us was against Liverpool and we won. I could very well be wrong though.

At the age of 47 I feel completly lost when people talk about "Ipot" or something like that...

I happened to be at the r's when Gould was outside with Pea****, two astute signings as that was the time we had Gus Caesar on loan

Think Sinton's debut was v Villa and he scored and we won 1-0 !!! Happy happy days indeed
