The important bit is what time they are registered - signed papers received by the league, whether by fax or in original form.
The cut off is 12 noon on the last normal working weekday prior to the date of such match.

Indeed we are - the only way someone gets to play at shorter notice than that is a short term loan and, in respect of goalkeepers only, an emergency loan...........still I will be happy if we get something sorted for the trip to Sheffield.

If we play one up front and that was Chopra with Varney and Helguson on the bench that would certainly do me. If it is Varney and AN Other of similar quality I don't see that as a promotion winning strike force. Just my opinion.
