Simple logic, Chopra won't be signing

In the system we play it doesn't make sense

This is clearly the system warnock wants to play, and for that role you need a big ba***rd who can win everything in the air. That's why I think Clarke isn't a bad signing for us. We need Bednar in my opinion, but any striker over 6 foot with half decent feet would do for me

    I disagree...

Warnock is harshly judged for long ball games. He plays with the tools at hand and had to do this in the lower leagues. His Palace played Prem teams off the park in the cup, if you remember?.

With our current midfield, it would be a crime to play this way, therefore Chopra, Moses or Bednar would fit perfectly into the team.

Agree, I think the man through the middle will be a goal scorer, Clark type player will come on if he has to change things around.
      Kept the faith!

With BBR's on this one. A leading line striker is now all we are missing (plus cover for him if I am getting greedy). Chopra, then Bednar then Moses look best available fits (as we are not getting Maynard). Don't want Walters who is being rumoured. Sits too far back.

Sorry have to disagree. We aren't going to play one system and one system only this season. Magilton tried it and failed because he didn't have a Plan B. Warnock needs options and will have more than just one Plan B up his sleeve. I can't see us turning down the chance of signing Chopra because he wouldn't fit into this system.

However I do agree about Bednar.

Well there's always going to be a degree of long ball being played in any team. Besides, what is the point of having talented players like Taraabt, Mackie etc if they can't keep the ball down that end of the pitch.

We now have the players to play football the proper way (Buz, Taarabt, Faurlin, Mackie...), so it would be strange if we didn´t use that way of playing as plan A.

Chopra doesn't fit. Nor do I think we're even interested in him.

I guess you genuinely believe that as you've taken the time to write it and then click the post button, but why do you feel this is the case?

Of course, I'm reffering to the bit about not fitting...

How can a prolific finisher not fit into our team, or any other CCC side for that matter? We have a fantastic midfield who will knock it about and create chances. This isn't the type of team to play long ball. Ball will be played along the deck and Chops is possibly the best striker in the division for anticipating and getting on the end of through balls, chips over thecdefence and even balls in from wide.

                      I don't understand where you're coming from?

I also doubt we're in for him, but not fitting is a crazy claim.

I think it's the case for a good couple of reasons.

Personally I really rate him, and could see how he would do very well for us. But I sincerely believes Warnock intends to play with just one target man striker, with two wingers/inside forwards beside him. Now maybe Chopra could do the inside forward position, which I think would be why he "doesn't fit", as obviously he should be out and out centre forward, no doubt.

I totally agree that he could fit into a championship and thrive brilliantly, and also how he wouldn't fit in a NW team due to the manager's planned style of play. All my point was.

I think we won't play one system also, because whatever we plan now, the season will evolve and so will our team and style.
