Why doesn't Neil just go along to the bank and get a loan to pay him the fee from his own money, it's still open.

If we are going to give him the money anyway, just give him the money. Why do the club make things complicated. We have just four days to kick-off, we need to get transfers ratified as soon as we can.

Could it be that if he get the total sign on fee sum now he can leave us for Spain or France due to a favourable clause which says so??

If that is the case I can understand why QPR will pay him it on a monthly basis.

The deal with Spurs is done.

His personal terms will probably stipulate a clause allowing him to leave in either the January or Summer 2011 window for a "nominal" fee so as not to put off any teams in France or Spain bidding for his services.

These local papers havent got a clue, they are just going on what they read on websites like this etc....

They could have quite easily got the info earlier today off Nodger's post

Would have thought that if Tarbs wants promotion then it would be within his interest to have the fee spread out over 12 months as Neil stated yesterday he his working within a budget, so by spreading the signing on fee over 12 months would allow him more money to spend on new quality players now. By giving Tarbs his entire signing on fee in 1 go would take a massive chunk out of that budget, and it's not like he has to relocate is it!

To be fair, most of us expected a fee of around 2 million, and would have been OK if we had paid that. If it is £600K with a 400K add on, it's possible if he goes in Jan 11 or summer 11, then the add on won't apply. So we're basically getting him a lot cheaper than we thought. so it there is a sell on value, surely we could compromise on that a bit, to at least re-coup our outlay.
