These surveys are always a bit iffy because they never say how many seats are at these prices, they imply that ALL seats are that price. I'm pretty sure for example that overall, Fulham are generally cheaper than us.

The survey (which is in 4-4-2 magazine) is a bit of a hotch potch but the "top ten" referred to here is, I am pretty sure, comparing the most expensive season ticket. (not corporate. boxes etc). Ours looks low on that basis! The rest of the survey also compares the individual match day tickets (Arsenal win as most expensive again - £94) and it also looks at the lowest ST prices and ranks them. The big surprise there is Wigan, 6th cheapest of all 92 league clubs (at £295 not far above Accrington). Easy to take the **** on why. but you have to admit that is pretty cheap! Their CEO says it is because of all the local competition due to other clubs being close by and the rugby heritage of the town which means they have to compete on price. Rangers seem to be doing that too (competing on price), just sadly competing to keep up with Chelsea and Arsenal prices. Market logic here (sort-of- shown if not proven by this) suggests lower prices = higher volume sales = greater net profit.

And a better atmosphere. Also the competition amongst fans worrying whether they'll be able to get a season ticket if they don't rush or won't get in at all if they don't get one leads to a rush in sales. Seems a no brainer. TBH the owners nodded in the right direction on costs this year and I still am proud on the child exemptions (which most of the others do not have) evn though I don't personally benefit from them now my eldest is older.

          Exactly Fawny.

The Spurs price quoted in The Independent relates to 72 seats sold including exec access to a lounge and are renewed every year by the SME's. The next price below that is £500 cheaper than the headline figure.
