Agreed, we are a CCC club with financial security which most other clubs would envyThere's a few poking it at the owners (Mittalls in particular) to "spend or go" -- my questions are:-
1. Just who do you think would come in and how would they sort out the mess the club is in after 10 years of clowns running the place?
2. After giving yourself a reality a check and realising we are not a club that can spend money like water, just who are your realistic striker targets?
Answers on a postcard please.I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley BowlesComment

I'd just like to ask the moderators or whoever decides these things why this post hasn't been moved to the board room?
It's funny because I posted another thread a good few days back mentioing some transfers and highlighting the reverse of the content of this thread aimed a tad vaguely at GP in respect of the money he's schpunked at the club on Pellicori etc and within minutes it's moved to the board room.
Same meat different gravy but no move.
Is that weird? Was it an oversight? Or does it confirm that anything can be posted here as long as it fits the bill?
Mmmmmmmmm.
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.Comment

Nobody is asking the Mittals to commit financial suicide.
Nobody is asking the Mittals for just one of their many billions.
A £10million transfer fund, that's all, up front in May, for NW to get his teeth into, that's all.
It wouldn't make the Mittals, it wouldn't break the Mittals.
But, boy, oh, boy, what a lift it would have given everybody, and maybe added a few thousand more ST holders to the 6,800 odd we have.
It's not hard to see why so few people in Britain have any sense of finance.

Until we sign a quality striker or 2, I will find it hard to believe that Flavio and Bernie don't still have a big involvement in our club.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!Comment

Adel and everything else
Would love Adel to sign ,think the bloke has fantastic talent, however surely signing Adel would mean a 5 man midfield of Adel,Faurlin,Derry.Buzz plus either Legs,Hogan,Rowlands ,Cook or Mackie.
Leaves us playing 1 up front, who ever that might be,just got a feeling that Buzz is going to have a great year so maybe Adel is not needed,as playing both week in week out leaves us a bit short at the back.
Forget Adel if he is asking for to much and give us 2 from Beattie,Kitson Moses, Bednar and Chopra and i would forget Adel ASAPComment
