Yeah I agree it does sound like Roberts would play a big part of HAM SALAD RICE's plans next season.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

played for Hayes before going to wolves for 250,000 then moving sideways to Bristol Rovers before moving up the leagues!!
A definite NW type of player too big and strong holds ball up well but can take people pn - Not sure how much of his pace has gone but ifthe rumours about Simpson also coming are correct they would absolutely rip this league apart!!!
Fingers crossed!

Blackburn Rovers are reported to be ready to off-loading Jason Roberts to raise funds for the acquisition of a new forward.
The Lancashire club have already seen loanee Franco Di Santo return to Chelsea, and are yet to bring in a replacement for Benni McCarthy - who left for West Ham United during the winter transfer window.
Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is believed to be keen on putting together a new strike force, but is unable to muster up the funds necessary as takeover talks with Indian businessmen are still believed to be in progress.
Now The Mirror claims that the 32-year-old Grenada international Roberts will be shipped off to another club if an acceptable bid is lodged by an interested party, in order to generate the finance required to bring a new face into Ewood Park.
Blackburn are thought to be interested in moves for Real Madrid legend Raul, Croatia international Nikica Jelavic and Portsmouth striker David Nugent.

Albion have added Hawthorns old-boy Jason Roberts to their list of transfer targets – but have still not given up on signing Liverpool’s David Ngog.
Baggies head coach Roberto Di Matteo today confirmed for the first time that Ngog is on his summer wish-list, with the club hoping to land the Frenchman on loan.
But Liverpool are unwilling to let the 21-year-old leave before they have strengthened their own attacking ranks.
With that in mind, Albion are considering several other targets including Roberts, who has been told he can leave Blackburn to make room for new faces.
Ngog’s agent, Bruno Satin, cast doubt on a possible move this week but the Baggies still believe they could land the player once Liverpool have added fresh competition for Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt.
Di Matteo said: “David is a player that we are interested in, but with loan players you wait until the end of July and the beginning of August and see which ones you might loan out.
“It is pretty quiet all over Europe. I have spoken to a lot of people and there are not many deals being done. A lot of deals are loans at the moment and there aren’t many transfers.
“Who has signed players? Manchester City, Chelsea and Wolves have been quite active, but it’s pretty quiet generally. I still think there will be more deals.
“It’s just slower than it used to be.”
Albion are keeping tabs on a host of other targets with Roberts the latest to be added to the list. However, they have yet to enquire about the 32-year-old.
Roberts, who was awarded the MBE for services to sport in Grenada in the New Year Honours list, joined Wolves from non-league Hayes in 1997, but left Molineux for Bristol Rovers without playing.
Chris Hughton is considering making a £1million move for out-of-favour Blackburn striker Jason Roberts.
The 32-year-old Grenada international has just a year left on his contract and has struggled to hold down a first team spot under Sam Allardyce this term.
Roberts has grown increasingly frustrated by his lack of playing time and it is understood he will be allowed to leave Ewood Park this summer if a suitable offer is made.
And Hughton, who has a limited budget at his disposal, views the experienced marksman as the perfect foil for young strikers Andy Carroll and Shola Ameobi.
For his part Sam Allardyce nees to raise funds to overhaul his squad. He had hoped to sign Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from Lech Poznan but the deal is too expensive.
Other clubs interested but no details of any firm offers. He'd be a first team regular for us but would have to up-root from the North. Cant see it being an easy deal to tie up if he has to move down here.
We will see....R T I D :yush:
