    First 'decent' side we've played

...and not surprisingly we have struggled. Let's remember that we had virtually our best 11 out there tonight. 82nd min leveller against a league one side.

I fear unless we get those 2 strikers that NW keeps talking about (since April) we might be playing Plymouth in the league next season. (Assuming they don't go up.)

    Worrying?

chelsea lost 4-1 yesterday against wycombe. dont read too much into it.
3 players still to fit in that team to make it run more like a well oiled machine.

Although I know its only a run out, it's still worrying.

chelsea 11 not chelsea 1st team.

Bit like Luton against bucks, they send either there reserves or youth team to these kind of fixtures
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Not really a fair comparison with our first 11 vs Plymouth though....

              Chelsea XI versus Wycombe

Walker, Clifford, Ince, Deen-Conteh, Bertrand, Sinclair, Cork, Clifford, Lalkovic, Di Santo, Djalo - Subs: Tore, Blackman, Philliskirk, Sampayo, Prosenik

The main thing is, we didn't pick up any bad injuries.

they should still not be losing 5-1 to wycombe, and plymouth aint a bad side to face in a friendly where no-one wants to get hurt a week before the big kick off.
but if adel, jobi and a big target man come in, that side will be a lot different anyway. so that was only our XI to me till we face barnsley.

IMO I think it's a wake up call.... I really don't think the side is good enough to challenge top 6.

It seems like it's the same old story yet again, lack of strikers. Clarke & Helguson is really poor I don't care what anyone says...

I see this next week as our 'week of reckoning' in the transfer market.

I know there is still all August to go too but if the club want to show anything to the fans they will sort something out before the season starts.
