Stead has been to so many clubs already, going on loan within months and his goal scoring ratio is terrible...

He's only ever done well at Huddersfield...

        No thanks!

i said if he signs with a goalscorer then he would be a good addition. he always causes us problems every time he plays against us. at times we need a more physical approach which stead would provide.

Stead is one of those strikers who gets no credit due to his lack of goals, which is harsh as he's actually a decent footballer and a right handful for defenders.

I dont see how stead is physical, skinny and lightweight

Vine - (Provided more than just goals when he first signed.. now he gets slagged off)
                  HH
                  Pat
                  Balanta

Vine has made his own bed with his p**s poor attitude mate. He's shown no desire to get back to form and become the player we all loved.

HH won't play much, Pat is off and Balanta is out on loan.

Clarke and Mackie are the one's he's line up with (not all together) plus whoever NW brings in.

I was just saying none of these guys have really scored bags of goals....

the point is to bring in a striker who will score 20 goals...

stead wont and is someone who we dont need on the wage bill

who is that then. there is no guarantee that anyone will score 20 goals. whether that be stead, beattie or drogba

a striker will only score that many goals if he has good partner to support him. i believe stead would be great in that role

What is stead going to offer really, he hasnt at any other clubs and doesnt stay at the long enough either which tells me he must be useless!!

                            20 goal man would be

                            Chopra
Hooper (maybe, and yes I know he's at celtic)
                            Maynard

If you want a quality striker, go buy someone like this... not Stead who scores 3-4 goals a year, or an ex con ...

The thing is, a player like Stead could really help the likes of MAckie to get more, as well as bringing the midfield in on goal. Buzz would love to play behind a striker like Stead as he's good with his back to goal and would provide the knock-downs. I actually think he's better than Henderson at that. DH is more the target man who'll attack the ball as it comes in from the wide areas and will win headers and score with them. Stead is decent with the ball at his feet as well.

Just my opinion, of course mate, but he does get a lot of unfair stick.
