This lack of big name transfer activity?

No this is not another one of those ffs its june, july or august threads.
It is a simple question to you all.
Ive seen a few people say that they believe the reason no big name has signed is because of the uncertanty at the club over the years.
Do people really believe that we are that bad a club to play for? Im only asking your opinion because i dont know

Nothing to do with that mate at all.. It is to do with our board, wanting to try and achieve success on the cheap. We have not spent "BIG" on a transfer target and will not.
Maybe something to do with Flavio + Mittals disagreeing but doubt that either.

i reckon the clubs reputation has been tarnished by a certain fat orange italian guy. i mean...the number of managers we had is just ridiculous. it's gonna take time for that reputation to build up again. after all, the board have to prove they can stick with one manager for a whole season at least. if neil is gone by christmas, we will be back to square one.

On the basis he is apparently lurking in the background, the stench will remain over W12 and inflated pay packets will be a big reason someone comes to W12.

LET'S PUT ALL THIS INTO PERSPECTIVE.

How much activity is there been so far during this transfer window. All I keep hearing is that there is vey little happening and this is accross the board both Premier League and Championship. In fact we haved been more active than most and I would say that "big name" moves are few and far between.

How many can you name? Hooper to Celtic, Beckford to Everton but how many big names to Championship clubs huh?

Very mixed messages coming out of Loftus Road, without anything being said...if you know what i mean.

I have been slightly underwhelmed by the transfers in and the lack of removing the dross we still have.

Having said that, the signing of Kenny is a big plus , and also i think Derry will do a good job and Mackie will surprise a few fans( I hope)But, and maybe i shouldn't listen to managers, but waiting for this "icing on cake"

Of course, this could all be history is something happens over next week or so.

Am i being greedy? Of course, I was looking forward to "busier" pre season, depsite us having 5 players drafted in.

There are still areas on the pitch which concern me.

That said, like every QPR fan, come Barnsley match, all will be forgotten( for 90 mins)

Very true and people are going to Spain, Germany and Italy instead of England.

                    QPR Chairman Mr Saksena...

"Amit (Bhatia), Neil(Warnock) and I are all on the same wavelength and I believe this is going to be a fun time in the transfer market,"

"As I have said before, we have the capacity to spend. I am really excited. We want to achieve our target as soon as possible."

they certainly do a lot of talking...just not much doing

There is a clear lack of activity throughout the Championship - and I suspect a lot of it is that people are waiting to see who they can take on loan once the Prem teams fix their 25 man squads.
Those that get the best of the cast offs will strengthen their squads massively at a fraction of the cost of those (none yet) that spend a few quid on those currently on the move.
This, coupled with the current financial enviroment is making this a very cagey transfer windon in my opinion.

If you look at the buisness done by clubs in this division, apart from Boro, who are much bigger than us, these are fantastic bits of business, and most if not all clubs would want them. Kenny at Sheff U they didn't want him to go,Mackie at Plymouth was there best player, Orr top right back for this league, so its not all bad.
