Ambrose set to sign his new Palace deal!
Darren Ambrose poised to pen new Palace deal
Monday, 26 July 2010
By Richard Cawley
DARREN Ambrose is on the verge of signing a new contract with Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old attacker has only 12 months left on his existing deal and is a target for QPR.
But Eagles boss George Burley has revealed that Ambrose is set to pen fresh terms imminently.
He said: “We’re not far away and I’m confident that in the next 24 hours we’ll get something sorted out.
“We are keen to get it done and so is Darren."

Nice to see the bit in bold isn't considering claims by many that he was desperate to leave!Last edited by PalaceDave; 26-07-2010, 02:58 PM.Comment

i really couldnt care less about Ambrose. I wanted him to sign to start with, but we have a strong midfield, and with possibly mcanuff signing - we have more than enough quality already. If he started for us, itd only mean another of our good players would drop to the bench such as buzz - who should be starting. I want players at the club who WANT to play for us - and i think we now have a set of very commited players, which will show on the pitch this year. Ive had enough of watching players who dont want to be there. If ambrose wanted to sign for us, he could have done by now. If he doesnt want us, we dont want him - simple, no loss whatsoeverComment
