we haven't missed anything as we do not spend and would never be in for a player like that.

Just beat me to posting this thread. Our lot are far too busy playing pub teams in Cornwall to worry about signing a decent striker.Another one bites the dust.

Not really posted much in recent months just been an avid reader, but just feel we all need to get used to the idea that we will not be spending again this year. We can talk all we like about the likes of Taarabt, Beattie etc, but they are simply rumours which have yet to materialise into deals. Yet again we are working the free market with the likes of Mackie & Clarke.

The truth of the matter is we can't afford these players, are owners are rich but our club and the business itself is far from it. SImple as that.

Though even with this squad of players I have faith in Neil Warnocks ability as a manager and he will get the boys performing.

My mate (one of his agents) dealt with that signing. Doesn't think he would have made the grade for QPR.

I will stake my reputation of being a know nothing hogshead and GUARANTEE(as much as one can in these credit crunch times...) that he will bag at least 20 goals with decent service and a protective, sympathetic and understanding approach.. NW can do all these things and more... He'd deffo get the best out of a goal poacher who is a very clinical finisher when playing well....

Gills were pretty dire for most of the time that Jacko was at the Gills and Stimson the manager was a total Neanderthal who dropped him after a fairly lean period in front of goal... With the right guidance he'll do really well....

I've been banging the drum for this guy for ages... still we'll find out come August.... fed up with this tight wad attitude....

Blimey 600K is sod all in this day N age....

Seen him a few times....quick and strong with a great attitude and always looks up for it. This is the gamble we should have took instead of the Mackie/Clarke gamble

But this is it, all names and standard Rangers rumours.

Good Striker + Lots Of Goals = Move anywhere except QPR

Surely we all knew the deal when we signed Clarke & Mackie, we now have 4/5 strikers on our books. I'd be amazed if we bought a new one in.

Don't worry folks, one day we might replace Paul Furlong as a proper 6 yard goal scorer, until then take or leave the r's
