    Hooper, McAnuff and now Peltier

Huddersfield Town Manager Lee Clark has quashed reports about QPR`s supposed attempt to sign promising right-back Lee Peltier. Speaking to the Huddersfield Examiner Clark denied any approach from the R`s: "It`s absolute nonsense. Nobody at this club has had any contact with anyone from QPR and Lee Peltier`s agent has told me he knows nothing about the matter."

Peltier a former Liverpool trainee signed for Yeovil in 2007 where he made 75 appearances in all competitions before moving to the Terriers last season. Played largely as a right-back he can also play all across the back four and in midfield.

The right-back position at QPR is one that needs addressing. Last season Mikele Leigertwood, Peter Ramage and Matthew Connolly who are all considered not to be natural full backs had to fill in there.

But whether or not Lee Clark would sell Peltier remains to be seen. Clark values Peltier highly and goes onto say: "If anyone wants to ask about Lee, we`d start talking at £3m plus add-ons, but even then, we`re not interested in selling."

If Clark remains adamant on his valuation for Peltier then QPR may have to look elsewhere.

The Peltier was just a rumour that went around on a message board, it wasn't real.

What are you getting at Paul? Last I saw these reports didn't come from the official QPR site, unless you are saying the cliub are leaking false information to make it look like we are after players??

The club are not stupid, they would not leak false information about a potential target, knowing for a fact that 2-3 days later the club would come out and deny the bid/enquiry thus p*ssing QPR fans off and having the opposite effect of what you seem to be suggesting.

I would say that these news outlets, BBC, SkySports or whoever, are getting there information from inaccurate sources that are not related in any way to Queens Park Rangers Football Club.

Morris - You must have selectively forgotten that the chairman of S****horpe United FC refuted the claims of the Chairman of QPR FC that he had made a £1m offer for Hooper. How does that square your "inaccurate sources that are not related in any way to Queens Park Rangers Football Club" claim.

Also, why would Reading FC and Huddersfield FC move to publicly deny a link with QPR FC with one of their better players, it it was WARTB or another forum's internet tittle tattle ?

The same Lee Clarke that denied any approach from Foolham to be their next manager when SSN sources claimed he had been approached?
Maybe this rumour was also leaked by WATRB?
