It's a question that I don't think has been asked but when Damien Delaney signed for us he thought he was signing for a team going somewhere but instead Hull went up via the play offs just months afterwards.
Kaspars Gorkss would no doubt have left Blackpool thinking the same thing and never would have believed that the side he was leaving behind would go up before the team he was joining.
Not sure why this came to me now but as fans we often feel let down by our club because we are misled by the hype but it never occurs to us how a player feel when they later find out that they have been misled. Yes, they have the nice improved contract to soften the blow but at this level it may have been the only opportunity either player would have got to have played Premiership football.
