Good signing. As NW says we lack mental and physical strength. Players like him and Derry could be vital in terms of the character of the team.

No doubt will be lots of moaning but it was always going to be a mix of freebies and money signings given the size of the task facing the boss.

i agree. we need a bit of steel in there and the likes of derry and hill could provide it. we have too many pussies that go missing when things come on top. what makes me laugh is that people moan when we sign these types of players but there also seems to be a lot of people on here who don't want us to sign tarrabat! make up your minds.

As someone previously said we have no steel in the side and Hill & Derry will defo provide that. I remember watching Derry at Leeds & thinking what a horrible fker he is, now he's in the hoops that's a good thing. I know they are not world beaters but we need to get the essentials right first ie; a bit of bite & experience & these 2 will provide it. Hopefully a bit of a glamour signing will come soon to appease everyone.

How hye can say he puts in 8's and 9 out of 10 is a shock to me.

Aginst sheff wed he was the worst player on the pitch and Johnson roasted him everytime. 4 out of 10 against wed! I would be much happyier if he plays central defence.

Calm down everyone, lets see how they all fare when the season kicks off. If these new additions prove to be good acquistions then great or if they have been a waste of money then we'll see. How can any of us critisize players before they don the Hooped shirt?

NW has been given the charge to strengthen the squad and lets face it he should know what the Palace players are like and will have a fair idea about the others too. I can't see any of these new additions asanything more than NW choices and as he said earlier he is taking a gamble with at least one.

I know some don't like the phrase but Lets trust NW to do the business.
