No matter what way we put together the players that we have it doesn't look like a promotion winning team

Very true ... we are pesently far weaker than we were last season ... remember Simpson and Taraabt scored 20 goals between them ...

I agree.

Whilst I don't think it is a team that will struggle in the bottom half, it looks like a mid-table one and I am not looking forward to the 2010/11 season.

Well I AM looking forward to the new season. I would like us to sign some more players and indeed some better players, but hey.
I am sure we have the right Manager in charge, and we will have a better season than we did last year. Because I think he will get the best out of whichever players are at his disposal.
I'll bet there are more "targets" but you cannot force players to sign for us if they don't want to. And anyway, NO signing, whatever the fee, is guaranteed to be a success.
This will be the last time I say this, but............

to me it seems as though we are getting rid of good players, and bringing in ones who arent as good. I dont want to be negative as i admittedly havent seen clarke and mackie, or even derry but i dont really see how much better these players can be that Buzz, Cook, Adel, Simpson, etc who are some rumoured to leave, and of course loans we havent signed. Maybe a squad of more committed players will be an improvement, but in terms of quality, it looks looks worse to me. Ramage showed glimpses of a better player at the end of last year, but lets face it, hes very poor and sticking with players like that wil just lead to another frustrating season. Hopefully a few more players will come in, who are at the next level to go with the derry kind of players
