    I must be mad .................

......... because I'm quite looking forward to the start of the season, even with the players we have and are in with a shout of getting, as there is balance and they would be all pulling in the same direction, playing in their favored positions. Yes we could improve the quality of players in certain positions, but the shape and balance of the team is key for me. Depending on how you want to look at it, the following is played 4-3-3 or 4-5-3 or 4-1-4-1

    ----------------- Kenny -----------------
    - Connolly - Gorkks - Rammage - Hill -
---------- Derry or Mahon or Legs-------
    ----------- Buzz ----- Faurlin -------------
    --- Ambrose ------------------- Cook ---
    ----------------- Mackie -----------------

No, because that will cancel the attacking balance from the team. One of our biggest problems last year were balls played into the 6 yard box or balls played across the 6 yard box, with no one there to finish it. Ambrose, Cook, Buzz and Faurlin would terrorise defences and all we need is a 'Kevin Phillips' type player, to play of the shoulder of the last defender to finish the chances off.

Which we haven't and won't sign...
That team would be pretty much same as this year. Minus 25 goals and 15 assists provided by Routledge, simpson and two ball.
        Mid to lower table finish

We had the same problem the year before as well and this needs to be sorted asap.

I always look forward to the start of any season, Rangers are in my blood always have and always will be.
I would love to see us go and make a real statement signing, the ones M'boro are making, just to give the place a real buzz, because if NW can get Buzsacky and Vine(im pushing my luck here i know) super fit and sharp, and we get off to a good start, we could be up amongst it.
            But then again.................we are QPR

your'e totally mad as there is nothing but a mid table to relegation battle ahead for us with the lack of quality signings comin in,ffs even Norwich are showing more intent & purpose what with the signing of surman who is the kind of player we should be going for.

how do you know for sure we wont sign those type of players? You don't - nobody does. Still a way to go till start of the season. how do you know its a mid to lower finish - you dont. Give it 10 games into the season to make these assumptions, with whoever we have signed, good bad or indifferent, then you just might have some idea of the seasons outcome.

Remember that we are a "bit" more stable club this year. And we have a gaffer who will be here long term. Mark my words: "Underachievers" under the guidance of Warnock have worked wonders before, so why not this time??
Look to/at Blackpool how far they made it without that many BIG names in their squad.

BESIDES, WE ARE STILL NOT IN JULY....
