Crouchie was a good player, learning his trade when he was with us. But he was not then outstanding.
In that way you could say Mark Hateley, who at some point in his career was outstanding but I think we all know he was absolutely 5hite by the time he washed up at Loftus Road.Comment

I see what you're saying, but Furs was the real deal too. He's one of those who got better with age. He was energetic and great in the air. He was one of very few who could crack a ball with both feet and scored all sorts of goals.Last edited by BennyBoyRs; 22-06-2010, 12:58 PM.Your mum would love me...Comment

Don't disagree, Furlong did a good job for us, was a good player, but, Les Ferdinand was in a class of his own.Comment

ferdinand and allen are the two only jawdroppingly excellent good strikers in that list..
furlong was very good and wegerle was the nearest thing to stan we have ever had.
but the two ive mentioned could score from any blade of grass in the opponents half, and often did.
the rest i wouldnt pee on.Comment

With Simpson in our team we would maybe have had a striker to be proud of in the years to come. A pity he doesnt rate our newlook(or Warnock doesnt rate him).
Anyway who knows, maybe he will be here come the next two weeks or so??QPR
Best team in the world
