    PLEASE not Jon Stead

There has been a lot of talk about this guy recently on this board which is starting to worry me,especially as we already have Clarke in.This guy in my opinion is another Priskin, only worse,ie NOT what we need.Give me Tom Smith or Rob Hulse anyday over this guy,he is just not good enough. So,please god we dont sign this guy,and before anyone says it ,i do trust NW but i also trust he has more sense than getting this guy.

Stead is poor and should not be a main striker target for a promotion chasing side

If Paladini is involved expect to see Caleb Folan being linked.

        worrying isnt it
Paladini doesnt get players for the benefit of the club but only if theres something in it for him.
thought theyd locked him away somewhere and he is not supposed to have ANY input into player buys?
hmmmmmm may explain some of the dross we have brought in so far

This is almost slanderous, where is your proof of this ? Saksena has stated that Warnock has total control of all transfers.

I'm possibly in the minority, but I actually think Jon Stead would be ideal for us.

He isn't some old clogger looking for a last pay cheque. He's a decent age, very big and strong and has always caused us problems whenever we have came up against him.

Personally, a choice between him and Clarke is a no-brainer for me.

Admittedly, he probably hasn't got the best goalscoring record (and he is definitely not THE answer), but I think he is a good target man.

Almost? It's completely slanderous. Just another way to vent anger because we're not getting Hooper. As I said many a time, I'm not defending GP as I don't know the guy, but I find it pathetic that NW can't praise GP for helping him (perhaps NW identifies and GP negotiates?!) without you lot making assumptions.

I know, that is why i am worried.signing him and having Clarke here as well would make us,in my opinion much weaker up front next season which would really dampen any optimism i would have for next season,so please god NO.

YES,but he want 2 strikers and we need 2 GOOD ones,we already have clarke and mackie brought in.Signing stead would only leave 1 left, you see what i mean.Anyway surely NW knows this so i trust him(that means no Stead :>) )

actually, it is defamation (aka libel) if we're going to be precise. GP, if he was of a mind, could have the site closed down immediately and sue both the owners and the original poster. of course he won't though.

I'm in the same minority. I wouldn't say he's ideal... but he's a good player in this league.

Not in "The Prem", but we're not in the Prem.
