Hooper is exactly the type of striker we so desperatly need,not to bid for him is showing a blatent lack of ambition.

Hooper is good, but maybe NW thinks that he doesn't fit into his intended style of play. Doesn't mean we lack ambition just because we dont bid.

I think it wd be very hard to argue that he would prefer Clarke to Hooper because Clarke will fit into his system better. That said tho I'm v disappointed as really wanted Hooper there are other good strikers out there and for now I'll remain posiitve that Clarke and Mackie are just back up and he is still planning to bring in two strikers of genuine quality. If not next season will be a complete waste of time.
