Isn't Tommy Smith getting on a bit now? He once told me to **** off when I asked for his autograph in the Anfield car park. Harsh, I've always thought, though quite in keeping with his image. I was only about 8. T'was early 70's after I'd watched him play in Roger Hunt's testimonial. He'd have a problem keeping up with most strikers nowadays I'd have thought. Apart from Leon Clarke perhaps.
