Believe me ive seen enough of Shaun Derry to believe that a fit Gavin Mahon would do us as good a job if not better than Derry. But the more i think of it the more i think **** it, if Warnock wants him that badly and he knows him well, he must of seen something in him that he likes. It certanly isnt his range of passing or his ability to score a goal out of nothing, so maybe Derry is one of those 'good for morale' types or a leader of men, something we painfully lacked last year. We had Legs as skipper last year but i didnt see him lead by example on the pitch so maybe NW wants to bring in a few lads with a bit of fire in their belly.
I for one will support whoever NW brings in, whether they excite me or not.

Derry has top leadership skills and apparently fantastic to have around in dressing room... Derry certainly isn't coming to QPR to just play football, but more for morale and leadership.
Remember Steve Palmer? he was slow as anything but a great chap to have around half time.

We badly need leaders. Original poster spot on. The last two seasons heads have dropped and there has been nobody to lift the players or give them a kick. We also need a couple of nasty muvvers. These type of players are not going to whet the appetite but we will be grateful to have them all the same.
