Albion Rubbish Claims of Bednar Bid

QPR boss Neil Warnock will get little joy out of Albion if he decides to progress his interest in Roman Bednar.

Club sources have dismissed as incorrect reports that they had received a bid from Queens Park Rangers for Bednar, with the striker in any case central to Roberto Di Matteo’s plans next season.

The 27-year-old Czech Republic international has one year remaining on his contract but the club also hold a one-year option.

Recently Bednar told the Birmingham Mail of his wishes to sign a new contract.

“I still have one year and a one-year option. Hopefully the gaffer will want me for next season. We will see,” he said.

This bid being rubbished by WBA. Bristol City saying there has been no bids for Orr. S****horpe saying there have been 4 bids for Hooper and QPR not listed amongst them. Volz and Tosic still weighing up options. Ambrose deal on hold. All quiet on the Hill and Derry bids (and they are free agents).

Wouldn't it be nice to see a report in the morning that we are after someone and then on the next morning. "Done deal".

Sure it may not just be our team but it certainly seems like it. No wonder some on here are becoming frustrated. We seem to be fed an awful lot of rumours that just have little substance.

Cox played against us then missed the next 5 but played the last 4. Scored against Boro on TV.
