That may be the case, but if they sell they will ask for more money for their players than the administrator, who just wanted to pay off wages etc.

Can they do that though? The administrator has been brought on board to act in the best interest of the club and to do what he sees fit to keep the club afloat. Obviously at this moment in time it makes sense to block player sales as the one and only interested party has threatened to walk if he doesn't do so. After the takeover has happened they will still be in the same boat and will still require funds to keep the club afloat. I suspect that unless another buyer comes in at a higher price the sale of Ambrose will go ahead as agreed shortly after the takeover.
