Rangers close in on Blades star

QPR are set to open talks with Paddy Kenny after activating a buy-out clause in his contract.

Rangers have made a £750,000 bid for the Sheffield United keeper, who played under Neil Warnock at Bramall Lane.

The Blades want to keep Kenny at the club, but are powerless to stop the 32-year-old Irishman from speaking with the Hoops.

        Good enough for me.
32 is no age for a keeper.

Kenny said he wanted to stay with Sheff Utd to repay the clubs loyalty to him whilst he served his ban.

                Interesting one

If we sign him I think that means our interest in Vic Sinex is over.

                    Good news !!
                    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                    And many more mistakes

good keeper-would be a useful addition but cerny is more than capable and the money could be spent on trying to get a quality front man instead

Kenny and Bednar would get rid of the Ambrose negativity - who i still think will be with us come July!
