Just seen that, Paul. Would have been silly if true.

        Parker
        Dawson
        Baines
        Walcott
        A.Johnson
        Bent

Must be down to King's fitness if true.

            Choices left are

            Huddlestone/Carrick/Parker
            Upson/Dawson

Neither Walcott or Johnson are going if the rumours are true.

As for Heskey, his scoring record is as good as Sherringham and Beardsley's for England. He maybe a donkey but he's a donkey who'll provide space for Rooney and hold the ball up for the likes of Gerrard and Lampard.

Carrick is just there as cover for Barry if FC doesn't think Milner or Gerrard can do a job in the centre. Chances are that Carrick, Parker and Huddlestone wouldn't have got a single minute in the tournament if any were picked.

crouch and rooney should be england's front two imo, and Milner is much better then carrick

Agreed but Milner has played very little through the middle especially at International level. Carrick has been poor but experience is invaluable.

I'd take both over Upson. They forged a good partnership for Tottenham in the latter half of the season. Surely it makes more sense to have two players who know each others game well as back-up.
