    Clarke

Is it just me that is actually happy about the signing of Leon Clarke?

    This fella can play.

He has come in for some stick on this messageboard but he is a striker that will hold the ball up and be a pain to defenders. He is quick and took his goal really well against palace showing composure infront of goal, something that aygemang tends to ignore.
Just my opinion but under Warnock this 24 year old could go far.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

He certainly isn't the donkey that many are making him out to be. As NW has said he is a gamble, some of his play is very good and some of his goals outstanding and hopefully NW will make him a more consistent player.

He's not really filled me with confidence, but NW says he can get him to peak, so I'll give him that chance.

Just you. 18 goals in 83 outings for an out and out goal hanging striker is pathetic. Don';t care if he was sub for many of them. Sub for a reason. Fat lazy with attitude and usually a hangover. All he's ever played for were glad to get rid.

Stanley I think your being a little harsh.

I think with the choice Alan Irvine would of kept hold of him.

He look fit and decent in there last game v palace and when he went off sheff wed lost the main man who was causing a decent palace defence big problems.
Like I said I think he will suprise a few.

And you're getting this from, where?

I don't exactly rate him, but (and I'm not for one minute saying this is a racist thing) nigh on every black striker we get linked with has this 'attitude problem'. What a load of rubbish. He may look on the large side, that I can't defend, but in all honesty, you more than likely know very little about Clarke. It does make me laugh when I read of slurs on a mans character such as bad attitude, when we have not got the first idea on what he's like as a person. I don't recall ever seeing him in the papers for bad reasons?!

Agreed. We got linked with Lita, attitude problem. Beckford, attitude problem. DJ Campbell, attitude problem.

Now we have signed Clarke he also has an attitude problem.

You say its not a racist thing Ben but I'm struggling to see what it is if it isn't that!

to be fair Lita and Beckford do clearly have an attitude problem and you will find alot of managers and players will back that up, however I have met dj Campbell and he is a top top guy that is very down to earth and loves the rangers.
